“The disappearance of the star of Arcturus signals the commencement of summer,” whispered Asha to her friend as she stared through the telescope. “Arcturus is still here.” It was a warm night, and they stood on the deck of his summer rental listening to the ocean waves lit by the moon and the earth’s constellations. “It is said that Arcturus is the rest stop for souls to decide if they will continue on to earth or go back to heaven. Spring activities usually signal new beginnings. Is that corny?” Her friend said, “The corny stuff is usually closest to the truth.” She smiled and pressed her right eye to the viewfinder of the telescope to see what else was out there.
